FEMA is to establish priorities based on expected failures and severity of those failures. FEMA is used to increase customer satisfaction and minimize late changes and associated cost. FEMA act as catalyst for teamwork and idea exchange between function. It is also used for improve product and process reliability and quality. FEMA is the early identification and elimination of potential product and process failure modes. The main advantage is to increase the customer satisfaction. Analysis service industry process before they are release to impact the customer. FEMA methodology has four stages
• Re-evaluation of risks.
• Quantifying risk
• Specifying possibilities
• Correcting high risk causes.
FEMA product and process specifications, reliability data, customer priority data, process description and inspection data. The team should have assembly engineer, materials engineer, service engineer, suppliers, manufacturing engineer and the customer. Failure mode and effect analysis is a continuous process to anticipate and prevent them from occurring priorities and attempts to eliminate their causes. In the design process the analysis of the potential failures of product of service due to component of subsystem unreliability. Finally the detailed step by step FEMA procedure along with FEMA is presented. It is mainly for preventive measure.
